Buyer Agreement
1. Veterinary Examination Requirement
Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within one (1) week of taking possession of the puppy to verify that the puppy is in good and sound health.
If the Veterinarian determines that the puppy is at risk due to a congenital defect (a condition existing at birth), the Buyer must:
Notify the Breeder immediately
Provide a written statement from a licensed Veterinarian describing the puppy’s condition
Return the puppy along with registration papers to the Breeder within three (3) days of the examination
Upon return, a full refund of the purchase price will be issued.
2. Non-Covered Conditions
This health guarantee does not cover:
Worms
Fleas
Mites
Ticks
Coccidia
Giardia
Any other common parasites
These conditions are common in dogs and puppies and are not grounds for return.
This guarantee also does not cover:
Ingestion of foreign objects
Ingestion of improper food or chemicals
Illness contracted after leaving the Breeder’s environment (including but not limited to Parvo)
Physical injury occurring after the Buyer has taken possession of the puppy
3. Notification of Death
In the unfortunate event of the puppy’s death, the Breeder must be notified within forty-eight (48) hours.
4. Buyer Responsibilities
The Buyer agrees that the puppy will receive:
Proper veterinary care
Required vaccinations
Appropriate nutrition
These responsibilities apply for the duration of the puppy’s life.
5. Restriction on Transfer of Ownership
The Buyer agrees to never sell, give, trade, or transfer ownership of this puppy to:
Any large commercial breeding establishment
Any agent
Any wholesaler
Any party not included in the original Purchase Agreement
6. Breeder’s First Right of Refusal
If at any time during the life of the dog the Buyer decides they cannot keep the puppy, the Buyer must notify the Breeder.
The Breeder will have the first option to repurchase the dog or will assist in finding a suitable new home for the dog.
